Report:

Illinois native Michelle Gallagher recently started her photography business, Chelle’s Illustrations, with a vision inspiring and involving an entire region.  On March 30, 2019, Gallagher expanded her portfolio and business connections with marketing local companies and organizations through a mock wedding. The driving force of this event was to demonstrate that a top-notch wedding experience could exist in the rural Freeport community. She contacted a bridal model, a bridal boutique, a hair and makeup artist, a jewelry store for wedding rings, a venue, a baker, a florist, a decorator, and had invitations designed as if the wedding was legitimate.
The video footage features Gallagher maximizing her time in the venue by capturing photographs at different angles with complimentary lighting from a nearby window. The arch, specifically designed with this event in mind, was created by Meier & Co. along with decor on the table and rug. Event Floral donated the flowers and bouquet, and Luecke Jewelers provided the wedding ring. Gallagher wanted a current trend and envisioned a bohemian-themed mock wedding.
"I just want to reiterate that this was 100% a TEAM effort and the images turned out as well as they did because I collaborated with quality vendors. If you're getting married, and you're really wanting knockout photos, you've got to work with rockstar vendors," (Gallagher, 2019).
Ultimately, Gallagher took on the role as photographer and wedding coordinator.  Gallagher has guaranteed free publicity and advertisements via social media to showcase the other businesses. Additionally, she partnered with numerous companies, and the photos must include the tagged name of all parties who contributed. Furthermore, she desires the photos to spread rapidly on platforms like Facebook to ensure businesses, including her own, are benefiting from this unique marketing plan.
